OLIVA

Oliva is situated 80 kilometres south of  the city of Valencia, nestled among the orange groves of the region. Oliva features a 10 km stretch of beautiful, pristine, sandy beaches bordered by dunes with the backdrop of surrounding hills. The marshes inland from Oliva were recently declared a Natural Park. The unique vegetation makes the area one of the most interesting wetland zones on the Mediterranean coast. The chain of inland mountains is worth a visit for the panoramic views and excellent restaurants.

To experience the culture and history, there are many ancient buildings and remains such as Moore castles, mosques and churches amid a network of narrow cobbled streets.

There are also numerous fiestas, featuring satirical effigies, processions and fireworks.

For those interested in water sports, Oliva is a great place to kayak, windsurf and scuba dive. For land lovers, Oliva also has an eighteen hole golf course designed by Spain’s famous Seve Ballesteros.

Oliva is an important destination in the Costa Blanca region of Spain. With its world class beaches, rich culture and history, and numerous outdoor activities, it is a great place for visitors and residents alike.

Infrastructure in the area is second to none, with a good selection of schools and medical facilities. The national N332 road provides excellent links to the surrounding areas and is within easy reach of the AP7 Toll road which offers quick passage to either Alicante and Valencia airport.
